Vucic Smoothly Through to the Last Sixteen
Eddie Herr 16 and Under International Championships

An aggressive start by Ilija Vucic propelled him to victory in the second round of the Eddie Herr 16 and Under International Championships.  Defeating Alex Sanders from the USA 6-3 6-2, Ilija is now through to the last sixteen of the tournament.

It was a smooth victory for the number three seed and despite not being on top form in this particular match he was given little reason to worry by his opponent.   Suffering a few lapses in concentration Ilija swiftly turned up the tempo when required.

After losing the first set 6-3 Sanders appeared to struggle with his emotions and an error strewn second set by the American resulted in only two games going his way.

Ilija now faces number 13 seed J. Sundling in the third round.
