During their Monaco based practise period the MCTA was proud to announce the selection of British player Oscar Podlewski to its team.  Oscar who is 18 years old and is from London was this year’s quarter finalist at both the U18 British Junior Championships and Catalonia Championships.  Oscar joins fellow MCTA players Ilija Vucic from Belgrade, Serbia and Anna Fitzpatrick from Sheffield, Great Britain.

MCTA Director of Coaching David Sammel said, Oscar is a real find for the MCTA and British tennis. He has trained in Spain for two years and has a big game that needs polishing for the tour. We have no doubt that his dedication will allow him to quickly develop a game that will take him far.”

In addition, during its launch, the MCTA was delighted to reveal it will be receiving the full support of global equipment manufacturer HEAD:

The partnership between HEAD and the MCTA is an exciting venture and one we are proud to be a part of.  Our exclusive range of performance products is ideal for an Academy of such an elite nature and will give them every opportunity to succeed at the very top level of the game.  HEAD is very much looking forward to the future triumphs that this very unique tennis Academy will undoubtedly have.” Robert Summer, HEAD

The MCTA is an exclusive Academy.  Its aim is to produce elite tennis players and is the only Academy to offer a fulltime touring schedule.  Other Partners of the Academy include the Monte Carlo Country Club, Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), Transcom Software Inc and Global Procurement Group Inc (GPG).
